If you haven't heard....

I came across this article in the Chicago Sun-Times Newspaper, where high school students will be receiving monetary compensation in exchange for getting good grades. The theory behind this plan is by putting money over students head this will make them strive to get better grades and stay in school. The pay rate for the grades are as follows; $50 for an A, $35 for a B, and $20 for a C. I guess with the high dropout rate among Chicago Public Schools paying kids to actually care about grades is not such of a bad idea.
